Applying an accessibility lens to data visualization

Applying an accessibility lens to data visualization

Data visualization can be a powerful means of communicating the insights found in data and analyses. However, it is important to not just stop at creating technically correct charts and graphs – data visualizations must also be designed with an accessibility lens in mind so that they can be perceived by all audiences. In this keynote, Alice Feng will introduce basic strategies for making static data visualizations more accessible. Through concepts such as font selection, color contrast, plain language, and alt text, data communicators can make their work useful and impactful for all audiences.
