Alice Feng

I’m a data visualization designer and developer with over seven years of experience helping translate data insights for various audiences. I have worked with both research organizations such as Global Energy Monitor, the Urban Institute, and the United Nations Development Programme and have worked in newsrooms such as Axios. I have also collaborated with organizations such as DataKind, Data4Change, and Data Science Africa and been published in places like The Pudding and Parametric Press.

I have extensive experience working with and analyzing data, drawing on my background in statistics and economics, and have designed and built both custom static and interactive data visualizations and data tools using a variety of technologies.

In addition to using design to make data and information more accessible to broader audiences, I am also passionate about exploring ways to bring equity and accessibility into the way data is visualized through my work on the Do No Harm Guide series. I have given many talks and presentations on this topic and taught courses on both data visualization fundamentals and equitable data viz.
